Beauty
Beauty is a concept that has been around for centuries, yet it still does not have a single definition. What is considered beautiful changes from time to time and culture to culture. This can make beauty an elusive concept, and sometimes hard to define.
Physical Beauty
Physical beauty is generally linked with features that can be seen by the naked eye. Typically this includes having symmetrical features such as bright eyes, full lips, smooth skin and glossy hair. Generally speaking, physical beauty also associates itself with youth since this is when the body is at its prime in terms of health and strength.
Inner Beauty
Inner beauty tends to be viewed as more meaningful than physical beauty due to its deeper implications of personality traits such as kindness, intelligence and empathy. It focuses on a person’s inner values rather than any outer physical attributes; traits like being honest, generous or passionate about something are often associated with inner beauty.
Universal Beauty
Universal beauty encompasses both physical and inner beauty which makes it even harder to describe – because it covers so much ground in terms of aesthetics, values and other intangible qualities. In many ways universal beauty exists outside the boundaries of what one can see or observe; it has been said that true beauty lies within each individual’s soul.
